The most beautiful story comes last. It begins with a long-distance call from Southern Germany. An elderly gentleman called the Ehm-Welk and Local History Museum Angermünde and asked what the former "Street of the SA" was called nowadays. "The thing is, I am searching for someone who I met, a lady who was still a young woman back when we met." They had met towards the end of the war but lost sight of each other in 1947. The only clue the gentleman had during his search was a coat hanger from the parents' textile business and the old address on it. As it turns out, the manager of the museum had just researched such a coat hanger and therefore knew that the "Street of the SA" is today's "Rosenstrasse". Through the current operator of the shop, the surname and address of the sought woman could be determined. The couple from back then really met again, happy and joyous to have found each other at over 80 years of age. They were blessed with another six months together. On her coffin, he placed seven roses - for the seven centuries it took until their reunion. The coat hanger, which came to the museum in Angermünde, will hopefully preserve this story forever.
