Weather Museum Lindenberg
The Weather Museum is catered to visitors who are interested in meteorology, the climatic history of the earth or environmental protection and also offers programs to groups and school classes. In 2006, the "Weather Museum" Association purchased a protected balloon hangar. The building is a rarity because of its architectural style as well as its technical history (kites were stored and repaired here, and large balloons filled). The exhibition presents meteorological kites in their original size. Radio probes, meteorological rockets, ozone sensors and measuring technology are also on display. As are authentic impressions from the pioneering spirit of the still young science meteorology from the late 19th and early 20th century.
