Tobacco Museum Vierraden
The small town of Vierraden, north-east of Schwedt, is the traditional center of tobacco cultivation in the Uckermark region. Multiple exhibition areas present tobacco growing, trade and processing in the Uckermark region in a landmarked former tobacco drying barn. Topics such as advertisement, smuggling, taxes and modern tobacco cultivation are featured as well. Visitors can explore the drying process of tobacco in the attic. The museum also includes a small garden with beds and herbs as well as an exhibition of large machine vehicles. It also organizes events, such as the tobacco blossom festival.
