Lower Lusatia Museum Luckau
The museum is located in a former monastery which was converted to a prison during the 18th century. Visitors can explore the permanent exhibitions "Luckau - Gate to the Lower Lusatia Region. People, Culture, Nature." and "In Jail. Penitentiaries and Prison Life in Luckau 1747 - 2005". The focus of the collection is on the regional history of Luckau and the north-western part of the Lower Lusatia Region. Overall, the collection contains more than 15,000 objects. Special exhibitions, open depots, events, tour, audio guides, modern listening and media stations, text folders as well as a museum shop await.
