Village, peat and school museum of Protzen
The museum is located in the upper storey of the former manor house Protzen. It presents the history of the place and the everyday objects from period around 1900. Two fully furnished classrooms tell us about the school’s daily routine of that day. Another curiosity is a reconstructed peat hut. The hut as well as other historical implements unravel the process of peat extraction, which was actively pursued since the 18th century in the Havelland area.
