Blankensee Farm Museum
Away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, in the middle of the Nuthe-Nieplitz nature reserve, lies the enchanting village of Blankensee. The village centre is home to the Farmers' Museum, which is considered the heart of the village. There is a lot of history to be experienced in the listed centre hall house. Where did the black kitchen get its name? Where did the animals live? How did people live without electricity, heating and running water? The house was recently given a new thatched roof, which can now also be admired. As the cultural centre of the village, the museum offers a wide-ranging programme of events and annually changing special exhibitions. Here, the past is brought to life, history is written and the future is forged.
