Slavic Fort Raddusch
The "Slavic Fort" is a modern replica of a Slavic rampart from the 9th/10th century at the original location. Since its opening in 2003, visitors are invited to travel through several thousands of years of the Lower Lusatia region. Approx. 600 sqm exhibition space present results of the archeological excavations in the Lower Lusatia brown coal field. Original findings are often paired with replicas, additions, films or small animations to explain the purpose or function. A time bridge outside illustrates the duration of the historical eras. An extensive educational offer also makes the museum a place of learning.
