Dommuseum Brandenburg

For more than 850 years, people have lived, prayed and worked at the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul in Brandenburg. Over the course of time, they have amassed a treasure that will not leave today's guests untouched.

In the Middle Ages, it was the Premonstratensian order that brought culture and education to this place. After the Reformation, the existing treasures continued to be used and were repeatedly adapted to the needs of the times.

The cathedral treasury includes numerous documents that bear witness to the property and economic life of the cathedral monastery. The collection of textiles that have been used at the cathedral for centuries is extremely valuable. Last but not least, the cathedral itself, with its interior design and the paintings in the vaults, is a stone testimony to the times.

Valuable testimonies from more than nine centuries connect the sacred space with art, culture and history. You are cordially invited to take a look at this valuable cathedral treasure in changing annual exhibitions. Thematic special tours, activity days for children and families as well as group tours through the exhibition complete the offer.
