Lusatia Art Collection
The Lusatian Art Collection is an insider tip among art lovers. Since the mid-1980s, a special collection of contemporary Lusatian art has been established and can now be found in Senftenberg Castle. The Lusatian Art Collection is a regional treasure trove with over 2,500 works by more than 130 painters, graphic artists and sculptors, including big names from Ernst Barlach to Carl Lohse. What's special is that all the artists have a connection to Lusatia! They were born here or have made the region from the Lakeland to Upper Lusatia their adopted home. The art collection reflects the entire diversity of styles, themes and motifs of the 20th and 21st centuries. The permanent exhibition is complemented by various special exhibitions that offer an insight into the work of selected Lusatian artists.
