Memorial and Place of Remembrance Ravensbrück
The memorial preserves testimonials from the former women's concentration camp as well as its branches in Ravensbrück. From 1939 to 1945, more than 130,000 women and children were imprisoned here, tens of thousands were murdered. Contemporary witnesses recount their experiences in different exhibitions which also portray the development of the camps as well as individual aspects. Many objects supplement this presentation. The collections, archive, library, depot, photograph and media collection provide great conditions for conducting research. Seminars, projects and guided tours are on offer to engage visitors in the history of the place.
