City Museum Brandenburg an der Havel
The City Museum, located in the Frey House in Ritterstrasse, builds a bridge from the founding times of the city to the 20th century. The toy collection from E.P. Lehmann is also part of the exhibition. For those looking learn more about the history of the city, more information about seafaring in Brandenburg is available in the Stone Gate Tower location. The medieval stone gate tower was built around the year 1430. Since 2001, the former defense tower is home to the permanent exhibition "Along the Havel River - Ships, Shipmen, Traditions - The History of Brandenburg's Havel Shipping". Traditional shipping and the shipping construction efforts led by the Wiemann brothers and construction of the People's Wharf in the city of Brandenburg until 1962 and leisure ships are the focus here.
