Homestead Letschin
Historical household items, tools and furniture are on display in this museum. Two rooms of the local school have been displaying objects about the local history of the village since 1976. Due to the reconstruction of the former poorhouse (constructed in 1838), facilities for exhibitions and events have been available since 1994. Numerous images and text plates illustrate the history of the village. Topics range from the first settlements over the drainage and important steps in agriculture, such as the separation, to trade and craftsmanship in the village. Another room of the exhibition is dedicated to the relationship of young Theodor Fontane to his childhood home in Letschin and to the Oderbruch landscape.
