Rochow Museum and School Museum Reckahn
Reckahn Castle, once the domain of the old Margraviate noble family of Rochow, lies in the midst of the picturesque baroque village with school, church and park. The museum in Reckahn Castle presents the life and work of Friedrich Eberhard von Rochow (1734 - 1805) who transformed Reckahn into a center of enlightened reforms of educational theory and into a mecca of political and social prominence during the 18th century. The permanent exhibition in the museum is joined by special exhibitions, concerts, readings and lectures. Not far from the castle lies the School Museum Reckahn in the old school building from 1773 whose core is a historical classroom from around 1900.
