Middle German Marionette Theater Museum Bad Liebenwerda
The museum in Bad Liebenwerda illustrates the history of the Middle German travelling marionette theater. From around 1800 until the 1980s, marionette puppeteers traveled through the region and performed in village inns. A medieval red-brick castle keep across from the museum offers a great view of the surroundings. The museum also organizes special exhibitions about the art and craftsmanship of the region. Every September, the international Puppet Festival takes place in the museum.
