This military airport was built before World War II and now holds a museum. The exhibits primarily reflect the history of the Cold War as the airstrip was used by the Soviet 16th Air Force during the times of the GDR. Another focus are the air raids during the Second World War. The association running the museum strives to clear up the history of fallen pilots of all nations who crashed around the district of Barnim. Visitors can explore many original Soviet aircraft as well as those from the GDR. The museum regularly organizes large-scale events about technical features and vehicles.
