Citadel Spandau Berlin
The Citadel Spandau is one of the most significant and best-preserved Renaissance fortresses across Europe. Today, the grounds are exclusively used for cultural events. They are home to various museum and exhibition areas. A permanent exhibition in the Commander's House offers insights into the history of the castle and the citadel. The city history museum in the armory presents the history of the city of Spandau and organizes annual exhibitions about the history of the city. Furthermore, formerly public monuments from Berlin from the 19th and 20th century are on display. The citadel also has a youth art school, a puppet theater, art studios and a bat showroom.
