Monastery Chorin
Construction on the Cistercian monastery Chorin began in 1273. It remains one of the most significant structures representing northern German Gothic brick style. Visitors can explore the impressive early Gothic church and west wing as well as the east wing and historic abbot house which houses permanent and special exhibitions. The special exhibitions in the gallery of the abbot house change quarterly and depict contemporary art as well as topics from the history of the monastery. Cultural events, museum-related educational programs and guided tours in different languages are also offered to visitors.
